The Nelson I.O.D.E. Thrift Shop is a non-profit, volunteer-run thrift store operated by the Kokanee Chapter of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire. Established in 1946, it sells second-hand clothing, household goods, and miscellaneous treasures, with proceeds supporting local schools, seniors, arts, sports, and health programs. The shop also funds scholarships and remains a key part of Nelson’s downtown community.
